Mediation Services:
Fees & Expenses:
Family Law, Probate, and Trust matters: Mediator time is charged at the rate of $175 per hour. We charge for all time spent on the case, including preparation time, telephone time, attendance at the mediation session, and follow-up. If travel is required, travel time is billed at the mediator’s standard rate.
An administrative fee of $75 per party per case. The Administrative fees include case administration, coordination, scheduling, and document handling. Initial Administrative fees are nonrefundable and are due even if the matter settles, cancels, or is withdrawn prior to the service of a reply from the other party. If a case is canceled, settled, or withdrawn prior to a hearing having taken place, such fee will be refunded if we are notified at least 24 hours before a scheduled hearing date.
Civil Cases: Flat fee mediation program tailor-made for civil cases involving 2 parties with a monetary demand of $50,000 or less. A flat rate for a two-hour mediation of $275 per party. No additional charge for up to 30 minutes of mediator’s time to review pre-mediation position papers up to 6 pages. Cases requiring more than two hours are billed at a discounted rate of $+1 310 4937679 per hour per party after two hours.
Billing
All parties are asked to make an initial deposit toward mediation costs and fees. Any unused portion will be remitted upon conclusion of the mediation and/or the parties will be billed for the balance due. If the mediation will continue more than 30 days beyond the initial session, interim billings will be made. Responsibility for fees is worked out on a case-by-case basis; fees are usually divided equally between the parties, although payment of all fees by one side is not unusual. All fees are due upon receipt of the bill.
Cancellation
A late cancellation fee will be charged equal to 2 (two) hours at the mediator’s hourly rate in addition to any time actually incurred on the case divided by the number of parties if the notice of postponement or cancellation is received within 10 (ten) business days of the mediation and we are unable to reschedule another matter on the mediator’s calendar. The cancellation notice must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the 10th (tenth) business day preceding the date of the mediation to avoid the cancellation charge. The mediation date is not considered in the calculation for cancellation purposes.
Family Financial Services:
Consultation and evaluation is free.
Notary Public Services:
Notary fees: $15 per signature plus travel fee.
Notary Public Service Areas: Torrance, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills Estates, Gardena, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and El Segundo.
Travel Fees: $25 for the South Bay area, and $40 outside the immediate boundaries of South Bay.
Travel Fee waived for full trust signing.
Live Scan Fingerprint Services:
Live Scan Fees: $35 per person plus government-required fees and travel fees.
Live Scan Service Areas: Torrance, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills Estates, Gardena, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and El Segundo.
Travel Fees: $25 for the South Bay area, and $40 outside the immediate boundaries of South Bay
Notary Signing Agent Services:
NSA Fees: $175 per signing, $85 for the second signing for the same day and same client.
Service areas:
• The Beach Cities : El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and Torrance;
• The Palos Verdes Peninsula : Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, and Rancho Palos Verdes;
• The Southernmost neighborhoods of the City of Los Angeles: Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, San Pedro, Wilmington;
• Inland cities of South Bay: Hawthorne, Gardena, Lawndale, Lomita, Carson, Inglewood; and City of Long Beach.

Apostille Timeline and Fees for Hague Convention Countries:

$175 for the first California Apostille through the Secretary of State and $115 for each additional Apostille;
Expedited CA ---> SOS ---> 5 to 6 business days, due to Covid restrictions SOS no longer does the same day services. (Post Pandemic: 1-2 weeks)
$275 for the first CA Expediated/Emergency Secretary of State processing, $150 for each additional document;
Federal ---> U.S. DOS ---> 8 to 9 business days
$275 for Federal documents through the Department of State, $115 for each additional document;
Expedited Federal ---> U.S. DOS ---> 7 to 14 business days, due to COVID restrictions the processing time has been extended by all government agencies.
$375 for the first expedited document through the Department of State, $195 for each additional document;
U.S. States (non-CA) ---> SOS ---> 5 to 7 business days
$215 for the first U.S. States (non-CA) destined for a Hague Convention country through the Secretary of State, $125 for each additional document;
Apostille Timeline and Fees for Non-Hague Convention Countries:
CA ---> SOS ---> U.S. DOS ---> Embassy/Consulate ---> Estimated 10 to 13 business days + Embassy processing time (varies depending on Country of Destination's Embassy/Consulate (please call us for a quote)
$295+ for first non-Hague Convention country document through CA Secretary of State, Department of State, and Embassy/Consulate + additional Embassy/Consulate regulatory fees, $135 for each additional document + Embassy/Consulate regulatory fees;
Expedited CA ---> SOS ---> U.S. DOS ---> Estimated 14 to 24 business days + Embassy/Consulate processing time (varies depending on the Country of Destination's Embassy/Consulate (Please call us for a quote). Due to Covid restrictions, the processing time has been extended by all government agencies.
$395+ for the first document to a non-Hague Convention country through the CA Secretary of State, Department of State, and Embassy + additional Embassy regulatory fees, $225 for each additional document + Embassy regulatory fees;
Additional special discounts apply if you have 10 or more documents picked up or mailed in at the same time and for the same State.
Note:
In certain situations, your documents may require additional authentication (County, Health Department, Court, etc...) before they can be apostilled. The cost to authenticate a document from the County, Health Department, or Court is $145 for the first document and $85 for each additional. Please call or email us for an estimate of cost and processing time before you mail in your documents for processing.
